Is it painful?
It’s more of a “stinging” and “irritating” sensation
as opposed to being painful.
Do tattoos fade on hands and feet?
Tattoos on fingers and toes have a tendency to fade due to the blood
circulation not being as good in these areas. If you keep the design “above
the knuckles” you will see a noticeable difference in the
healing
.
Can I bring my own picture?
Yes, our artists can usually reproduce any artwork that is brought
to us. Pictures sometimes need to be modified to work as a good
tattoo.
Do you do custom tattoos?
Yes, if you can’t find what you’re looking for then we
can create one for you. A small deposit is normally taken to have
your design created for you. This is dependent on the time needed
to create a one of a kind piece for you. Your deposit will be deducted
from the final cost once you have been tattooed.
Is everything sterile?
Yes, our needles are autoclave sterilized at 270 degrees and are single-use
only. All packages are opened in front of the customer during setup
and all indicators show that proper sterilization has been achieved.
All surfaces including the chair are sanitized between each client.
During the tattoo all surfaces are covered with single-use lap cloths
and barrier film. The inks are placed in individual caps, which
are disposed of after the tattoo. Sterile barrier film is used to
cover all exposed cords, knobs, machines, spray bottles, etc. which
is also disposed of after each tattoo.
What colors show up on dark skin?
Generally, black, gray, red, and green work the best on darker complexions.
Lighter colors have a tendency to blend in with the skin tone.
Can I cover up an old or unwanted tattoo?
Yes. Most designs can be covered with another tattoo. Normally, color
and fine lines work well for cover-ups but some situations may be
different. It is always best to consult one of our artists to see
what will work best for you.
Where should I put it?
As much as we would like to tell you, please remember: YOUR BODY, YOUR LIFE,
YOUR DECISION!
How much are tattoos?
Tattoos differ in price. Most designs are priced once we see the size,
color, and complexity of the design. Larger designs may require
an hourly rate and can be determined by your artist.
Can I be under the influence of any substances?
Drugs and alcohol can cause you to bleed more freely and this will
affect the healing of the tattoo. We do not tattoo anyone under the
influence and if you are on prescription medication please consult
your physician prior to getting a tattoo.
Do you take appointments or should I just walk in?
You may do either
of the two. Walk-ins are always welcome or you may set an appointment
with just one day notice.
Where does it hurt the most/least?
Everything is relative and everyone is different. Your pain tolerance
is different from the next person and what feels uncomfortable to
you may feel quite nice to another person. The main thing is to
get the tattoo exactly where you want it the most, it’s a
permanent piece of art!
How long is the healing time?
Normally, a tattoo takes 1-3 weeks to totally heal. Once again, no
two people heal the same.
Can I go swimming after the tattoo?
Your new tattoo should not be soaked or saturated in any type of water
for a period of 5-7 days. Daily washing is still recommended during
the healing period.
